Privacy Policy
Last updated: [May 4, 2026]
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how AdData Academy ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use our internal application (the "App") that integrates with Meta Platforms, Inc. APIs (Facebook Marketing API, Instagram Graph API, and related services).
This App is an internal tool used exclusively by AdData Academy and its authorized team members to manage advertising campaigns on behalf of AdData Academy and its clients. The App is not offered to the general public, is not available for download in any app store, and does not collect data from external end users.
For any questions about this policy, contact us at: [email protected]
2. Information We Access
When using Meta's APIs through this App, we may access the following information through authorized accounts:
- Advertising account data: campaign names, ad sets, ads, creatives, budgets, schedules, targeting parameters, and performance metrics (impressions, clicks, conversions, spend, ROAS, CPA, CPM, frequency, etc.).
- Business asset data: ad account IDs, page IDs, pixel IDs, custom audience metadata (size and configuration only, not individual user records), and product catalog information.
- Account access metadata: the identity of the authorized team member performing actions, timestamps of API calls, and operation types (read, create, update, delete).
We do not access:
- Personal Facebook or Instagram profile information of end users (the people who see the ads).
- Private messages or conversations.
- Photos, videos, or content from personal user profiles.
- Friend lists or social connections.
- Any data outside the scope of advertising campaign management.
3. How We Use the Information
The information accessed through Meta's APIs is used exclusively for:
- Managing and optimizing advertising campaigns owned by AdData Academy or operated under explicit authorization from clients.
- Generating internal performance reports for our team and our clients.
- Automating routine campaign management tasks (creating campaigns, adjusting budgets, pausing underperforming ads, etc.).
- Diagnosing technical issues with campaigns or integrations.
We do not:
- Sell, rent, or share this information with third parties for marketing purposes.
- Use this data to train artificial intelligence models for resale or external distribution.
- Use this data for any purpose other than the legitimate management of advertising campaigns.
4. Data Storage and Security
- Authentication tokens issued by Meta are stored locally on the devices of authorized team members, in environment variables or secure credential stores. Tokens are never committed to version control, shared in chat, or transmitted over insecure channels.
- Campaign data retrieved through the API is processed in memory or stored locally for the duration of the operation. We do not maintain a centralized database of advertising data.
- Access to the App is restricted to authorized AdData Academy team members through individual authentication.
- We follow industry-standard security practices, including HTTPS for all API communication and the principle of least privilege for permissions.
5. Data Retention
- Authentication tokens are retained only as long as needed for active campaign management and are revoked when no longer needed or when a team member's access is terminated.
- Campaign data accessed through the API is not retained beyond the immediate operation, except for periodic reports that may be stored for historical reference. These reports do not contain personal data of end users who saw the ads.
6. Sharing with Third Parties
We do not share data accessed through Meta's APIs with any third party, except:
- Meta itself, as required to operate the API.
- The advertising clients whose accounts we manage, who have full access to their own data through standard Meta tools (Ads Manager, Business Manager).
- When legally required by a court order or government authority with proper jurisdiction.
7. Compliance with Meta's Terms
This App and our practices comply with:
If we identify any conflict between our practices and Meta's policies, we will adjust our practices to ensure compliance.
8. Your Rights
Since this App is used internally by AdData Academy and does not collect data from external end users, the rights described in privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, LGPD, etc.) primarily apply to:
- AdData Academy team members, who can request information about their account access through internal channels.
- Clients whose advertising accounts we manage, who retain full ownership and control of their data through Meta's standard tools.
To exercise any rights, contact us at: [email protected]
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the most recent changes were made. Significant changes will be communicated to authorized users of the App.
